On
Walt Whitman
By Tatiana
Pahlen
Walt
Whitman's talent was higher than his gift
amassing the
lexis to smear it through the page;
His self-proclaimed
ingenuity claims the cutting-edge
among the shrewd
and fools, the young and old;
He'd wander
much too far
to capture
and possess the newly budding souls of any creed and age
due to his
swelled up diarrheic tongue.
For
years he chewed on leaves of ripened grass
Lord knows,
he might smoke it too;
Oh Glory thee
who put a seed or two,
and sought
the healthy sprouts, giving this man a buzz!
