Oh Boy!

Two shining stars
set their lucent light;
He gazed at me without blinking.
Slowly observing my smile,
scattered across my face,
with his ocean eyes wide open,
He looked down into my soul
mocking and questioning — is it for real?
I kept on stretching my lips
waiting for a sign if I gained his trust.
In return he beamed,
filling my body with bliss.
He was seven months old,
but oh boy,
Old enough to break my well-shielded heart!
