Depraved Destiny

Some marked by a lousy destiny,
while others annex a boon:
when a brick hits a pedestrian,
Doom digs a dark tomb.

No guidance within mystery
Leave valor for the loons;
what can you do when your destiny
Turns to perilous loops?
