Diversity
By Tatiana Pahlen

A searching quest
subdues my mind:
What if all blacks
surfaced as whites?

No more diversity,
all the same kind,
may this possibly end
the racial plight?

There is no left,
all merges in right;
a cure for all deaf,
no mutes, no blinds.

Same heights, lengths,
clothes and homes,
booze, groceries,
cellular phones.

All doing one job,
like ants and bees.
The picture is clear,
we'll be grouped Chinese.
