Forsake Entourage

What on earth moves leeches
to cluster around the Thinkers?
Likely to drain their craft,
reflecting as if its own,
advancing their neophyte roots
in ancient studies,
Aiming to become the grandeur
or Illuminati by sub
merging consciousness
to devour gained wisdom inside out
the core of the ripened apple.
The worms encircled
resurface, glistering,
Defying trouble of hard work.
