I found on my pillow an astonishing frog,
it sat serenely and sighed at my side.
Bewildered, I searched who planned such a prank,
dragging this fellow from a nearby pond,
no one around could shed any light.

Its skin was pulsing with torrid heartbeats
Thought, if I kissed it, would it turn to a prince?
I pecked my green squeeze night after night
believing, in fact, I was kissing a knight,
until I discovered a tiny tag,
Made in Taiwan, a Rubber Toad!
