Sleeping with the Jellyfishes
Tale of a Survivor

There's bizarre and shocking puff
Spawned in the low, muddy seas
where heights are petty — currents rough
Strengths are gained by bullying and bluff.

Their vermin is fashioned as jellyfish
with foul tentacles prickly and large
Releasing poison that cause mange
followed by the sting from their rotten lips.

Conspiring against the pristine lands
While submerged forces merged to raze
all aligned onto a big wave
Going after prey to praise.

This is a tale of a lone soul
Survived by wreckage and found at bay
He claimed he suffered a vicious blow
only because he wouldn't play.

Every dog, eventually, has its day:
once never happy,
may turn largely gay.
