Yawns
By Tatiana
Pahlen
Your mouth's twisted,
eyes are rolled
Jaws extended like a lion’s,
Under the siege of long yawns
(this must be practiced on your own
encircled by silence!)
You mop your tears,
yet spawn some more
as if one
peels piles
of onions.
Since people bore you,
Say -- adieu!
Why suffer on their couch?
Promptly rise and hit the door,
Seek a likewise audience,
Unless you shut your jaws
and lay bare your own IQ!
