Brainwashed

Is this civilized life turning us back to apes,
stocking up on food and thick duct tapes?
The fear is larger than the titanic beast
we are frightened to cross from West to East.
All tremble inside with the stifling masks
and tuned to the news from dawn to dusk.
Banning French Fries off the Carte du jour list,
along with Evian all the French we diss.
Rapidly growing into one big flock,
we follow the shepherd, block after block.
Getting resentful using our own brains,
Wake up, you followers, break up your chains!
