I sat by the TV set, bleak and dazed

And gazed at the earth turning fast ablaze;

The rank mushroom left some bit and gored

Some viewers would cry, "Give us more war!"

To instigate battles for the sake of peace

And rate the channels to feed the beasts.

Why these two butts meeting face to face

And finish this action so dumb and base?

Give us, bystanders, the ultimate joy;

Life is brittle — not a toy!
